Eosinophilic gastrointestinal diseases represent a group of diseases that includes eosinophilic esophagitis, gastritis, enteritis, and colitis. This group of diseases are characterized by an inappropriate accumulation of eosinophils within the gastrointestinal tract. Diagnostic examinations of eosinophilic gastrointestinal diseases is intended to demonstrate of abnormal eosinophilic infiltration in gastrointestinal system. To make certain the diagnosis, other potential causes of gastrointestinal eosinophilia as listed above must be excluded. In this review, diagnostic and treatment features with clinical symptoms of eosinophilic gastrointestinal diseases, is presented.
