Plasma cell gingivitis is a rare disease with unclear etiology that is characterized by plasma cell infiltration. Clinically the gingival enlargement, redness, and bleeding are seen. Melkersson-Rosenthal syndrome (MRS) is a disesase characterized by triad of orofacial edema, recurrent peripheral facial paralysis and fissured tongue. The aetiology and pathogenesis is unknown. Patients often present as monosymptomatic or oligo-symptomatic. Here, a case who referred for complaint of recurrent swelling of the upper lip and right cheek and diagnosed as plasma cell gingivitis and possible MRS is presented. MRS should be considered in patients with angioedema who are unresponsive to antihistamine and steroid therapy.
