Adrenalin is the single life-saving therapy known in the treatment of anaphylaxis. Therefore, all the guidelines recommend prescription of adrenalin autoinjectors to all patients who have a risk of recurrence of anaphylaxis. This brings not only increase in the use of adrenalin autoinjectors but also errors with its application. In the present review, development process and ideal features of adrenalin autoinjectors; the effects of design of autoinjectors on its proper use, and current progressions in the autoinjector technology are discussed in the light of published reports.
